house was built in 2009 with a team of young, up-and coming architects from
Berlin in a modern interpretation of the Bauhaus-style. The house is located north
of Berlin, with 14km / 30 Minutes to the Berlin center of Alexanderplatz. The forest
and a nature protection area boarder our estate of 2.000 sqm with many old trees and
a natural pond.
The heart of the house is the open loft space at ground level of 130 sqm with a
large lounging area, open kitchen, a fireplace, dining area and library. We own
quite a bit of design-oriented furniture as we love beautiful stuff, but still our
house is not a museum at all, everything is in use. The large sofa (easily fitting 8
people) is a perfect hangout for reading, talking and jumping kids. The 3 other
rooms (bedrooms) are smaller and work perfect as more private rooms for retreat.
